wedding flower budget, wedding flower budget breakdown, what you can expect to pay for wedding flowers, $2,000 wedding flower budget, West Virginia florist, Pittsburgh florist

What you can expect to get for a $2,000 floral budget. With the increase in cost of florals it has become increasingly more difficult to do a full wedding at this price point. It isn’t impossible if your expectations are set correctly and I am here to help! Here are two options, based on wedding size.

Option 1: 100 guests

$1,000 wedding party flowers ( bridal bouquets, 5 attendants, 2 corsages, 8 boutonnieres, petals for a flower girl and a boutonniere for ring bearer)

$500 Ceremony ( 2 small urn arrangements)

$180 Reception ( DIY bucket of flowers and greens for budvase groupings of 3 for
10 tables )

$300 – 400 Delivery, set-up & on-site labor.

Option 2: 50 – 75 guests

$1,000 wedding party flowers ( bridal bouquet, 5 attendants, 2 corsages, 8 boutonnieres, petals for flower girl and a boutonniere for ring bearer)

No ceremony flowers

$760 Reception ( low floral centerpieces for 8 tables)

$300 – $400 Delivery, set-up & on-site labor.

Take note that neither of these options include taxes.

Unfortunately, even though this is a good amount of money it shows that not everything is possible. The quickest way to trim your floral budget and not sacrifice your vision and the things you want is to trim your guest list or have few attendants. Both of these eat up a budget quickly.

I hope this helps you see that even with a big budget, if you have a large guest count you’re not going to flower every aspect of your wedding. No matter your budget, take the time to write down a list of your must haves for flowers. If your budget allows for other things great, but at least you can make sure you are getting the elements you really want.

I want to also take the time to say Florists will charge differently depending on their own costs/overheads etc. Generally speaking, most reputable florists will charge pretty similarly. If you have a florist that has come in way under other quotes you have received I would second guess the value of what you are getting. Unfortunately, comparing quotes is like comparing an apple and orange. Without knowing exact what is going into an arrangement and the stem counts it’s impossible to do a fair comparison.
